Helmut J. Straubinger

President, CEO and member of the Board of Directors, Helmut J. Straubinger (1958) has more than twenty years experience in medical device technology including set up companies, product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, his main focus being stents, catheters and systems. He has held various positions in international companies with offices in Germany including CEO, OptiMed Medizinische Instrumente GmbH (development, manufacturing and international sales), CEO and CFO at the German subsidiary of C. R. Bard, Inc. and CFO at Nucletron Electronic AG. At his latest medtech position as CEO at OptiMed he set up the stent- and catheterproduction as well as the international sales and marketing organization, distributing interventional products in more than 40 countries, representing a sales volume of 15 million USD. He holds a Master of Business and Administration from the University of Applied Science, Munich, received in 1984.

Stephan Wehselau

The core competencies of CFO Stephan Wehselau (1968) are life sciences market funding, alliances, mergers & acquisitions and company restructuring. He was co-founder at Xantos Biomedicine and as CEO and CFO raised over US $40 million in venture capital in the USA and Europe. Mr. Wehselau also negotiated and structured three M&A deals with public listed companies in Europe and USA and closed nine significant technology-based corporate alliances with large pharmaceutical companies. At Roche Diagnostics GmbH, he was Head of Controlling and Finance Analyst for the Molecular Medicine Business Unit.

Dr. Katrin Leadley 

First Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Katrin Leadley has been employed by Boston Scientific Corp., for the last seven years most recently as Global Senior Medical Director, Clinical Sciences, since 2009. In 2008, Dr. Leadley received Boston Scientific’s “Clinical Sciences Impact Award.” “Dr. Leadley has attained great success in the execution of clinical development plans and regulatory strategies that achieve product approval and market introduction of new medical therapies. Prior to Boston Scientific, Dr. Leadley held positions at Advanced Stent Technologies (Director, Clinical Affairs) and Pulmonx (Director, Clinical Research). She received her Medical Doctor degree from Ludwig-Maximilian University Medical School (Munich, Germany) in 1989.
